Claude worked on settling the Furniture City Strike of 1911, then went on to settle the Copper Strike in the U.P. in 1913. Great stories never told of the labor movement in the early 1900s. This summer (2009) the Taylor's are having a family reunion. We are gathering oral stories, pasted down through each of Claude's siblings and including them as told. Stories also of Claude's involvement with the teamsters local #406, including the printing of the Monitor and his printing company. It was a well known fact, that Claude Sr. did drive some, but was not a good driver, is why Mrs. Taylor had so many cars. Visit often for continuing print of the man's history.
